    searching for videos

I have read through the FAQ but still cannot find how to search for videos to watch on SafeShare. I don't want to post them. I just want to search for and watch them.

    Save links in SafeShare?

Sarah Shuler · 1 · Last reply by Diogo Alves

I would love to be able to save all my safeshare links in safeshare so I don't have to create a spreadsheet to hold them.  Is this possible, or am I missing something?  I use the same links repeatedly in my virtual classroom and it would be nice to not have to pull up a spreadsheet or recreate them each time.  Thanks!

I would really like to be able to both search for clips (as YouTube seems to be down right now) and to create an account and save my clips! I LOVE what you are doing, I am a music teacher for K-6 and really appreciate this resource! You guys ROCK!

    Chrome extension

Dustin Wilcock · 3 · Last reply by Corey Jeffers

Have you thought of creating a Chrome extension? You could have a SafeShare button in the browser tool bar. When viewing the video you want to share on YouTube or Vimeo, just click the SafeShare button. The link gets created (copy/paste, etc.) with one click!

    Timestamps

Paul · 1 · Last reply by Jose Proenca

When I use a YouTube URL that includes a time stamp the SafeShare URL is not generated at all. For example:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3yRv5Jg5TI#t=01m30s

In addition to properly parsing a URL with a time stamp, would be also be nice if SafeShare could honor the time stamp as well.

    Thanks!

    An Intranet Server

    A. U. · 0 · Posted

If SafeShare plans to remain free, could source material be made available so schools could run their own safeshare intranet site, using IIS or something like a tinyweb server?

Our district's firewall currently blocks SafeShare for students as "streaming media", but maybe if our district had control over which videos were safe-shared, they would be open to using this technology.

I think that the main page has you use your own email and password.  Once you login, you find all the videos you have created.

    Secure School Subdomains

    A. U. · 1 · Last reply by A. U.

You're welcome to do this for free, but the following could be a money-maker for you and fill a real need...

What if you made available the ability to sign-up for subdomains on SafeShare? Here's how I see it:

    1. Each school/business would have it's own subdomain (e.g. harvard.safeshare.tv). This would allow school filters to whitelist content from/to that subdomain while blocking the main site and other subdomains.

    2. Those generating SafeView videos for a safeshare subdomain would need to be securely logged-in, and each school would have control over which users had the permissions to generate SafeView videos. Ideally, these permissions
