does a view on a safeshare view counts towards the video's view totals on YouTube?

Hi,

Thanks to my school's technology coach, I always convert any YouTube videos to a Safeshare video before showing it to or sharing it with my students.  My bookmarks tab is all Safeshare videos grabbed from YouTube!

When we view a Safeshare video in this way during class, does it count towards the video's view total on YouTube?

Also, if the person who posted the YouTube video takes it down, will the Safeshare link of it still play it?

Thanks,

Eli

Looks great.  So this way, the videos created will automatically be saved in my teacher account, so I can use them on any desktop computer without having to create the safeshare video and then bookmark each and every one on each and every desktop??

Exactly. You'll be able to login your account via Facebook, Google Account or, if you prefer, you can create an account with your e-mail and password. You'll get to see your saved SafeViews, plus we're introducing the concept of playlists.

Pretty awesome isn't it?

Thanks, Diogo for the quick reply.  I'm fine with the views on SafeShare counting towards the YouTube totals, just was wondering.

I would be willing to take a look at the personal area....I'm not seeing it on the website, so it must still be in development?

Hi Elijah,

No problem.

Yes it is still in development. But I can let you take a look at it by sharing a few screenshots. It's not much but it should give you an idea of how it'll look.

How do you like it?

Hi Elijah,

Thank you for preference! Very glad to know that your bookmarks tab is all SafeShare videos :-) We're going to release some very nifty features soon which will eliminate the need to have all the videos bookmarked as you'll be able to find them within SafeShare itself. Would you like to take a sneak peek at the (still to be finished) personal area?

Regarding your questions:

1) Yes, the views on SafeShare count towards the video's view total. Would you like this not to happen?

2) Unfortunately no. If the video uploader removes the video from YouTube or the video is taken down by YouTube for any reason, we won't be able to play it on SafeShare.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Best Regards,

Diogo Alves @ SafeShare.TV
